September in Garden of the Gods can be unpredictable—and this engagement session was no exception. We watched the skies closely, knowing the rain could roll in at any moment, but instead of letting the forecast ruin the plans, we decided to go for it.


And honestly? I’m so glad we did.


The clouds brought this incredible mood to the mountains, giving the entire session a soft, dramatic feel that you simply can’t create on a perfectly sunny day. We moved quickly between locations, laughed through the little bursts of rain, and made the most of every break in the clouds.



Sometimes the best engagement photos happen when things don’t go exactly according to plan. A little rain, dramatic skies, and two people completely wrapped up in each other made this September session at Garden of the Gods one to remember.
