It’s 7:30 in the morning, and I’m panicking because the weather app reports it’s going to rain.


I finally got my hands on a drone, and it was going to rain. I didn’t lose hope. I told Kaleia and Eugenio that I apologize, but I’m going to need them to get straight into the water. If it was going to start raining, I could shoot from the ground with an umbrella, but the drone would be useless.


It was looking cloudy, but I couldn’t see rain clouds in any direction–despite the MyRadar app. The drone struggled to take off several different times. It shifted to one leg before failing to take off. I replaced the propeller, and 10 minutes later, it was up and above the ocean. I was nearly jumping for joy when I got the drone above Kaleia and Eugenio.


Using a drone has been a dream of mine for a while. I adore the different perspective of the world that we never get to see.


Kaleia and Eugenio came back to shore. We did a couple of different cinematic and candid poses before they went back into the water.


It was a beautiful morning and a dream come true for a styled session in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. I pray for more projects like this in the future.
